Well here we go! No reason to say no to these developments since Silsden is going to expand and we need to make sure its for the good of the town. Our Councillors need to be constructive and insist on a new by-pass, school etc. before the building starts. Just saying a ‘NIMBY’ no to any development will be a disastrous strategy.
And perhaps we will see how small minded the anti Tesco campaign was with all the new residents having only such a limited retail offering in the town….. - 6th July 2015 at 6:46 pm #509
Is that you Andy?

Wayfarer, please keep upto speed. Tesco pulled out, nothing to do with anti Tesco protesters. Shopping habits have changed and the big supermarkets cut back on expansio plans.
Not a problem with these houses being built on land supposed to be for employment only commuters will buy them. And they can pick up their shopping on their way home from work in whatever town they work in.Having said that the decision to build hundreds of houses in Silsden is out of our hands just hope the infrastructure is sorted. And a bridge over the bypass is not the most pressing need
