Wind Turbines

I recently replied to a post on Silsden.net and said I love wind turbines.
They don’t really seem to like them on that website.
What do you guys on here think?

I like them – they don’t look out of place in the countryside at all.

I personally think that they look reeet good! Not sure I would want one in the town tho,

I think they look OK, if they are well placed. Surely renewables have to play a part these days?

PS don’t worry about that other site. They don’t like owt new… 😉

The other site is also full of people who just like the old ways.For instance a lot do not like the “new” floodgate and want to retain the old view.
There seems to be more posts on the other site. Hope this one does not just become an outlet for those who do not agree with people on the other site!

Don’t worry, we have a plan and a clear vision of where we are going.
It’s going to take a bit of time before we establish ourselves.
We are not here simply out of spite to the other site.
We originally started the site to promote the things that they didn’t promote, and over the first 5 weeks we have had so many suggestions of what people want to see on silsdenbuzz that we have lots of great things to come.

Hi Whizzer, I’ve seen what they’ve done to the Scotish landscape. Its ok saying they are good in the right place, ason Ogden moor, but the problem is its not just the turbines. Its the sub station the size of a football pitch for just a couple of dozen. Check out google for Straiton in Aireshire, Scotland. Such a beautiful and idilic place. 🙂
